With over 20 years in the industry, the founders of Detailed Electrical sought to chart their own path with a new company, and brought us in to help design this new brand.
As with any home service company, the branding needed to be friendly and inviting to homeowners, which led us to the direction of a mascot-based logo. From there, we just needed to find a unique concept to build this mascot around.
During our talks we discovered one of the owners had a history in law-enforcement, which inspired us to go down the path of a private eye theme. The final concept was heavily inspired by old black and white detective movies, and design trends from and around that same time period. The art deco design style, in particular, informed the look of the rest of the visual identity, including font pairings, the custom brand pattern, the name badge in the logo, and more.
